Deep Self & Nutritional Coaching
Every journey to health looks different when it comes to nutrition.
We encounter many people on health journeys and it is all too common to hear the following…
“I don’t know what I should be eating.”
“I want to lose weight and feel good in my skin again.”
“I want to fix my relationship with food.”
“I don’t know how to move my body and nourish it the right way.”
“I don’t know how to build muscle the right way.”
These are very real frustrations for many–and the weight loss industry has conditioned many to turn to fad diets, supplements, detoxes, and quick-fixes to achieve their goals.
Those “fixes” are not all healthy nor safe.
Bottom line, a safe, healthy approach to nutrition will be inclusive of the following criteria:
Good nutrition…
Is controlled energy balance
- Eat so you can stay healthy, fit and strong. Too little or too much won’t do.
Is nutrient dense
- The foods you ingest should be nutrient dense, in proportion to calories.
Optimizes performance, aesthetics, and mental health
- Do what you love to do and feel good doing it! Whether that is to lean out, perform better, or maintain your health.
Is sustainable
- This is about the long term, big-picture. What habits can you maintain and what is considerate of the world we live in.
Involves awareness and attention
- When we slow down and eat mindfully, we notice our body’s feedback and start to make choices consciously.
Promotes regular movement.
- Proper nutrition combined with physical activity makes your nutrients work for you.
Is outcome-based
- Our food choices lead to the results we seek, and can be adjusted.
