Frequently Asked
Questions

What should I expect in my session?

Expect to be blown away. You will learn more than you ever thought about your body and mind. Bring a notebook or camera to take pictures!

What should I wear?

Be comfortable. Wear something you can move freely in. Bring the shoes you usually wear and showering prior to your appointment is preferred but not required.

How long will my session be?

Our sessions are an hour in length for most appointment types.

Do you take insurance?

We do not. MindsetPT is a cash-based provider and does not participate with any insurance plans. However, you can pay with a Health Savings Account (HSA) if you have one, and we can provide you with a Superbill which you can submit to your insurance or HRA for reimbursement if you wish.

Please Note: We do participate with worker’s compensation and auto accident claims on a case-by-case basis. Please call our office to see if your situation qualifies.

Why are you cash-based?

This allows our providers to focus on you and your needs, one-on-one, instead of what the insurance company wants—which usually has nothing to do with your well-being.

You own your health, and direct-to-patient care is the best way to ensure you are getting the best treatment for your money.

We have a shared goal of getting you back to being pain-free and able to live and perform the way you want to.

Co-pays, limited visits, and bureaucratic red tape should have nothing to do with your health. We refuse to cater to the plummeting reimbursement rates from insurance companies by rushing and double-booking appointments, applying generic templates to unique patients, and the pressure to stamp you as “Fixed” as quickly as possible so your insurance company can save money.

How do I pay?

We accept cash, credit or check at the time of service.

Can you bill Medicare?

Unfortunately, no. We do not partner with Medicare, and it is illegal in the state of Michigan for us to treat a diagnosis and charge cash.

However, if you are seeking any of our other services we can absolutely help!

What is a neurocognitive test?

This is a computerized test we administer to evaluate working memory, learning abilities, psychomotor function and attention.

We can adminster this test on-site at practice/competition locations, in our office, or even in the comfort of your home.
